Sorts from seed: Petunia, Tagetes, Impatiens, Lobelia and Begonia.

Petunia is the botanical name of a genus of plants of the family Solanaceae. The first Petunia came to Europe in 1823.

Tagetes is a genus of annual plant of the family Asteraceae (Compositae of Asteraceae). There are dozens of sorts that naturally occur in the warmer regions of Middle America and especially in Mexico.

Impatiens Walleriana is a 15-30 cm tall, herbaceous, stiff-branched plant with bald, smooth, glossy, translucent stems. The plant naturally occurs in the mountains in tropical Africa and in Unguja.

Lobelia is a genus from herbaceous plants of the family Campanulaceae. The genus has about 200 sorts. The genus is named after Matthias de l’Obel.

Begonia is a genus of the family Begoniaceae. There are more than a thousand sorts, which is why Begonia is one of the most extensive genera in the plant world. By origin Begonias come from moist, warm and wooded areas.

Sorts from cuttings: Petunia (large- and small-flowered), Verbena, Bidens, Sanvitalia, Bacopa.

Petunia is the botanical name of a genus of plants of the family Solanaceae, as mentioned above. Many of the sorts of Petunia occurring in gardens are hybrids. The genus is closely related to Nicotiana, the name could even be derived from the Brazilian word ‘petun’ (tobacco). There is also a perennial plant grown as annual plant.

Verbena is a genus of plants of the family Verbenaceae. The genus has about 120 sorts of annual and perennial, herbaceous flowering plants. Most of them naturally occur in Europe and in North- and South America.

Bidens is a genus of the family Compositae. Bidens derives its name from the pappus needles that are located at the nub, which allows it to stick to passing animals or people and gets distributed.

Sanvitalia Procumbens with the name ‘Mexican crawling Zinnia’ is part of the family Compositae, also called composite flower. Together with the family Orchidaceae this is the most extensive plant family. Around the whole world it has 20.000 to 25.000 sorts.

Bacopa is a genus of the family Plantaginaceae. These tropical marsh plants are also used as pure water plants in aquariums.

Pelargonium

Pelargonium (Geranium) (derived from ‘pelargos’ which means ‘geranium’) is generally called Geranium and is a genus of the family Geraniaceae. This genus has 220 to 280 sorts, of which most sorts originally come from Namibia and South Africa. Some sorts also occur in tropical Africa, the Middle East, Australia and on some islands in the Indian Ocean.

We produce 2 groups in several pot sizes (11 cm, 12 cm and 13 cm pot):

  • Pelargonium Zonal-hybrids, which leaves are nearly round. This group contains the sorts
    that mostly grow upright.
  • Pelargonium Peltatum-hybrids, in contrast to the Zonal-hybrids these sorts have smooth, waxy leaves and (half)drooping stems.

Hanging pots

Several bedding plants from cuttings are produced in hanging pots. Most of them are grown solely in one basket, like Petunia, Pelargonium, Fuchsia, Lobelia, Verbena and Scaevola. But there are also baskets that contain several sorts per pot, for example a mix of: Petunia, Callibrachoa, Verbena, Scaevola en Euphorbia.

The pots can be hung directly, because each pot is provided with an internal water buffer system. It is also possible to repot the plants, which will directly provide your terrace or garden with a colorful look!

We produce the pot sizes 21 cm, 25 cm and 27 cm hanging pots. Pots are usually white, but sometimes they are available in happy trend colors.
